The project will rehabilitate approximately 570 linear feet of this roadway to address failing and deteriorating pavement conditions while implementing transit improvements and upgrading pedestrian curb ramps to current ADA standards. Portland cement concrete overlay technology will be utilized to reduce costs, construction time and associated traffic impacts while extending pavement life. Water services within the project limits will be replaced. Sidewalk will be added to fill missing gaps on both sides of Sonoma Avenue resulting in new retaining walls and irrigation modifications. Bus shelters will be replaced, and an integrated modular bus platform will be installed. Project requires a Caltrans encroachment permit for traffic control measures.
