The Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility Program (Pier B Program) at the Port of Long Beach involves reconfiguring, expanding, and enhancing the capacity of the existing Pier B Rail Facility to support increased use of on-dock rail and reduce the supply chain’s carbon footprint. As part of this broader initiative, the LA-04 Pump Station Relocation Project (Project) is required to relocate the existing West Long Beach Pump Station, which currently conflicts with proposed rail improvements. Located mid-block of West 9th Street between Harbor and Caspian Avenues, the existing LA-04 Pump Station is a critical drainage asset owned and operated by the Los Angeles County Flood Control District (LACFCD). It currently discharges flows into Channel No. Two via a 54-inch outfall. The Port will design and construct the new pump station facility, which will be conveyed to LACFCD upon completion. This solicitation seeks a consultant to provide construction management services in support of the construction contract for this Project.
