Chavez Park Renovation Project in Modesto.The César E. Chavez Park Renovation Project is a complete re-design of the existing park site and will include: a splash park, aquatics center with pool (lighted), skate plaza (lighted), outdoor basketball court (lighted), youth soccer field, outdoor fitness station areas, accessible exercise walking paths, multi-purpose rooms suitable for exercise and aerobic classes, picnic pavilion with tables (lighted), benches and bbq grill, stage area for community events, restroom building (lighted), water efficient, native and drought tolerant landscaping, overall improved park lighting & security cameras, and more parking for use during community events.
