A. Contractor shall be responsible for assuring all underground utilities are properly marked and located prior to demolition of existing concrete or asphalt. During demolition of existing concrete or asphalt, Contractor shall avoid damage to slabs/curbs, vegetation, structures etc. that are to remain in place. Any damage caused by Contractor to existing slabs/curbs, vegetation, structures etc. during demolition process, shall be repaired and/or replaced at Caltrans Contract Manager’s discretion, and at no additional cost to Caltrans. B. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, parts, materials, supplies, permits, travel, and incidentals necessary to perform the following: 1) Location: Building 1, East walkway (See Attachment A, and Attachment B, Area 1). Contractor shall remove, and legally dispose of 120 feet (120’) long by six feet (6’) wide by four inches (4”) thick of walkway. Contractor shall remove the existing concrete path, level the ground to meet grading requirements in accordance with 2025 Standard Specifications 24-2.03F Finish Grading, and replace with new concrete walkway of the same measurements, a minimum of four inches (4”) deep with wire mesh reinforcement in accordance with 2025- Standard Specifications 52-1.02D to ensure code compliance. Contractor shall be responsible for verifying all measurements. 2) Location: Building 1, East pedestrian entrance walkway (See Attachment A, and Attachment B, Area 2). Contractor shall remove, and legally dispose of 35 feet (35’) long by five feet (5’) wide by four inches (4”) thick of walkway. Contractor shall remove the existing concrete path, level the ground to meet grading requirements in accordance with 2025- Standard Specifications 24-2.03F Finish Grading, and replace with new concrete walkway of the same measurements, a minimum of four inches (4”) deep with wire mesh reinforcement in accordance with 2025- Standard Specifications 52-1.02D to ensure code compliance. Contractor shall remove, and legally dispose of 115 feet (115’) long by five feet (5’) wide by four inches (4”) thick of walkway.
