The City of Huntington Beach is seeking proposals from qualified consultants who are interested in being considered for completion of a Comprehensive Update to the Huntington Beach Local Coastal Program (LCP) (refer to project description below for more information). The consultant team must have demonstrated experience in processing Comprehensive LCP Updates and working with the Coastal Commission and other relevant agencies. The consultant will have the primary responsibility of preparing all the relevant work products to complete the project in a timely manner in accordance with the City’s requirements. In addition, the consultant must make sure that the project meets the requirements of the Coastal Commission and the grant that it will be awarding to the City for this project. The consultant will also be responsible for participating in the public outreach, study sessions, and public hearings needed to prepare and adopt the Comprehensive LCP Update. The key objective in undertaking this project is ultimately Coastal Commission certification of the Comprehensive LCP Update.
