The project involves landscape and accessibility improvements to the patios and adjacent park areas surrounding the Capitola Community Center at Jade Street Park. Work includes the reconstruction of the east and south patios with new accessible paths connecting to the public sidewalk, as well as the addition of a new accessible entry and seating area on the north side of the building. The west patio will be remodeled to include new seating, a seat wall, an accessible stage, and a pathway to the existing parking lot; decorative wave concrete in this area will be installed under a separate project. The project also includes a new accessible path linking the west patio to the Jade Street Park playground, installation of new landscaping and irrigation per the design plans, and drainage improvements per the civil drawings. The project site is an active construction zone. The selected contractor will be required to coordinate work with multiple ongoing and overlapping construction efforts, including the Community Center renovation, playground construction, and restroom improvements. This coordination will include site access, staging, and work sequencing to ensure safe and timely delivery of all work. Contractor participation in regular site coordination meetings may be required.
