The Contractor will provide semiannual, or as required, Commercial Exhaust Hood Cleaning System Service, Repair, and Preventative Maintenance for the Department of Rehabilitation’s Business Enterprise Program cafeterias and cafés located in state and federal buildings. Contractor will provide repairs and recharging to various types of commercial exhaust hood systems. This includes disassembly, cleaning and degreasing hoods, including hood filters tracts, grease troughs, and removable grease cups. Removal of roof and/or wall mounted fans from ductwork to degrease the base, shroud and blades. Inspecting exhaust fans for loose or worn-out fan belts. Cleaning, degreasing and replacing all hood filters, hood parts and accessories, replacing if necessary. Cleaning all accessible parts of ductwork from exhaust fan to each individual hood. Applying food-safe polish to stainless steel ductwork. Thoroughly cleaning all affected areas and removal of all debris. Providing a complete, detailed written report of all work performed and deficiencies in the exhaust system and recommendations for addressing any problems. Attaching a certificate showing Contractor’s name, person performing the work and date of cleaning to each hood cleaned. Contractor to provide all cleaning supplies and equipment. Timely services must be provided to ensure the BEP vendor has limited interruption of business operations. This includes planning logistics, ensuring safety protocols, and coordinating with the Business Enterprises Consultant (BEC) and BEP vendors when necessary.
