Provide, on an as-needed basis, transportation services that include a driver, vehicle, and assistive personnel if needed, to serve a diverse population, including individuals under conservatorship, with mental illness, dementia, or physical frailty. The services must accommodate five levels of transport—ranging from unlocked, unassisted travel for ambulatory individuals to locked, assisted transport with Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) supervision for gurney-bound passengers. These services may involve local or long-distance travel within California and must be delivered with care, sensitivity, and appropriate behavioral management. Additional expectations include standby time charges, real-time electronic pickup/drop-off confirmation, and prior notification of the transport level required for each client.
