The selected contractor(s) shall provide comprehensive human resources services in support of the City’s development and implementation of a new Classification and Compensation program. Services shall include but are not limited to the following: 1. Completion of Contract Negotiated Projects • The contractor(s) will partner with the City to identify, plan, and execute negotiated classification and compensation objectives outlined across established memoranda of understanding between the City of Long Beach and its various employee associations. 2. Program Development and Strategic Partnership • The Contractor(s) will partner with the City to thoroughly assess its existing Classification and Compensation program to identify areas in need of development in line with the outlined goals of this project. Provide consulting via a strategic, phased implementation of the development of the program to meet the outlined goals. 3. Operational and Technical Support • The City may request the contractor(s) to provide operational support in the form of ad hoc classification studies and classification specification development, job analyses, and/or city-wide, group, or individual compensation studies as needed. These studies may include review of requests to create, revise, consolidate, or divide classifications, interviews of incumbents and supervisors, constructing initial classification specification drafts and assessing proposed revisions, making recommendations based on study findings and industry standards, and providing related presentations and written and oral reports as needed...
