Project Description The Citywide Public Safety Camera System - Phase 2 Project aims to extend and integrate the City’s existing fiber and camera infrastructure to improve security, surveillance, and connectivity across multiple strategic locations. The project includes the design and installation of new fiber lines, cameras, and related connectivity equipment, leveraging fiber and radio technology where appropriate. The scope of work encompasses the following locations and tasks: 1. Eisenhower & Calle Tampico to Bermudas and Tecate o Install fiber infrastructure along Eisenhower Drive to Bermudas and up to Tecate to enhance network coverage by removing radios. Alternate routes can be considered and are included in the 35% submittal. 2. Eisenhower & Montezuma to the Museum and Lumber Yard o Extend the fiber network from Eisenhower Drive and Montezuma to connect the Museum and Lumber Yard to remove radios currently used at the Museum/Lumberyard site. Add two cameras at the Lumberyard and integrate these cameras into the existing network 3. Washington Street and Fred Waring Drive o Install a new camera and tie into existing fiber. 4. Velasco Park o Install new fiber lines and a security camera at Velasco Park to improve monitoring and safety. 5. Eisenhower Park o Install a camera at Eisenhower Park and establish connectivity using radio technology to integrate with the network. 6. Cove Oasis Trail Head, Bear Creek Trail Head, and Cove Oasis o Install cameras at the Cove Oasis Trail Head Parking Lot, Bear Creek Trail Head Parking Lot, and the Cove Oasis. Use radio technology to connect these cameras. 7. Maintenance and Operation Yard o Add seven cameras at the Maintenance and Operation Yard: Visitor Parking Lot, Front Gate, Back Gate, Proposed Building, and Other Points of Entry. Connect these cameras to the fiber network.
