ROUTINE MAINTENANCE a) Weeding, cultivating, and brush control both mechanically and with chemicals. b) Fertilizing. c) Shrub and groundcover trimming and pruning. d) Irrigation programming, monitoring, maintenance and repair. e) General pesticide management includes, but not limited to, rodent, insect and disease control. f) Mowing, verticutting, and aerifying. g) Raking and dethatching. h) General litter control, refuse removal, removal of debris and grounds policing i) Hardscape cleaning. j) Contractor shall also be responsible for any damages due to personnel and/or equipment (i.e. should a mower damage a fence). IRRIGATION SYSTEM MAINTENANCE 4.1 Inspecting irrigation spray heads, system piping, valves, and controller clocks to ensure proper operation and full working capabilities. 4.2 Adjustment of head or nozzle spay and disassembling and assembling irrigation valves to free up obstructions and prevent overspray or excessive runoff into street rights-of-way or other areas not intended to be irrigated. 4.3 Repairing and adjusting all sprinkler heads to maintain proper and uniform water application and adhere to all State, County and local regulations. 4.4 Irrigation damages resulting from Contractor’s personnel and maintenance activities must be repaired, at Contractor’s expense, with identical components of that removed. If an equal brand name is recommended, Contractor shall obtain prior written approval by the City Representative or their designee.
