Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Construct fiber to complete a ring topology for the City’s existing fiber network, to be owned by the City and operated by the awardee 2. Construct last-mile fiber connections from the fiber ring to City-owned facilities, to be owned by the City and operated by the awardee 3. Operate and maintain the City’s fiber as an open-access network 4. Deploy public Wi-Fi in specified locations, to be owned by the City and operated by the awardee In addition, the City welcomes proposals that include the following optional (but highly desirable) elements: 1. Construct targeted fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) to low-income priority areas of Vallejo, at the lowest possible cost to the City, to be owned and operated by the awardee 2. Construct fiber-to-the-premises on a citywide basis, at no cost to the City, to be owned and operated by the awardee.
