Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Long Beach (City) is seeking qualified vendors to provide software licenses/maintenance, security hardware and supplies like employee badges, integration solutions, security designs, and turn-key installation, maintenance and repair services, including monitoring services as needed. As part of the award, the City will establish an approved annual spending limit for new installations, upgrades, new integrations, and will have a base annual purchase for providing oversight and support for existing systems. The City has over 50 buildings centrally managed by a central access control system running in the City Hall Data Center. These remote buildings are connected to City Hall through a Wide Area Network. At its core, the access control system is currently Lenel OnGuard v7.6, and remote buildings have access panels (about 100 today) and badge readers (about 670 today). Some have integration with OTIS Elevator Management/Dispatch Systems, and some have integration with Genetec Camera Systems. There are about 20 local administrators who control access local permissions for remote buildings, while the Police Department is the global administrator for the entire City, as they also issue badges as part of employee/contractor onboarding.
