The City of Norwalk’s Recreation and Park Services Department, in collaboration with the Public Safety and Community Development Departments, are seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide City-wide security services for city-owned spaces and facilities, including occupied and vacant properties, and special events, as needed. Should an award of contract be made, the selected Proposer(s) will enter into professional services agreement(s) with the City of Norwalk. The intent of this RFP is to establish a contractual relationship with a qualified consultant or consultants capable of providing both armed and unarmed security personnel, mobile patrols, access control, surveillance monitoring, and rapid response to incidents as needed. Services must be delivered in a manner consistent with the City’s standards for professionalism, community engagement, and public trust. The selected security provider will work under the direction of the Norwalk Recreation and Park Services Department, in coordination with the Public Safety and Community Development departments, to implement site-specific security protocols, ensure the safety of staff and the public, deter criminal activity, and enhance the overall sense of security throughout the City of Norwalk.
