Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Ontario Broadband Department will be constructing a critical backbone along the west side of the City known as the “West Ring”. The build will connect to a new Point-of-Presence (POP) facility located at Anthony Munoz Park, an existing communications building. The build will traverse through the park to 3rd Street, then south along Mountain Avenue to Philips Street. An additional lateral will be built along West Flora Street to provide future connectivity in the western side of downtown. The total linear build is 15,985FT, the installation of 75 handholes, tie into 48 existing traffic conduit locations and prepare access to 30 key streetlight communications locations. The following scope is to prepare a conduit system along the Segment 2 build for the future installation of fiber optics. The fiber installation will be installed on a separate contract and is not part of this bid.
