The Monterey-Salinas Transit District (MST) seeks bids from qualified firms to install, and commission nine (9) ChargePoint CP250 chargers to support its battery electric bus (BEB) fleet. The project includes installing six (6) chargers at the Monterey facility located at 1 Ryan Ranch Rd, Monterey, CA 93940, and installing three (3) chargers at the Salinas facility located at 443 Victor Way, Salinas, CA 93907. These nine (9) chargers have already been purchased by MST and are currently stored at an MST facility. MST purchased thirteen (13) new BEBs from bus manufacturer, Gillig. These BEBs will enter Gillig’s manufacturing line the second week of November 2025, with all BEBs expected to arrive at MST by the end of calendar year 2025 or early 2026. Site work, including electrical work, trenching, conduit stub out, and concrete pad installation, has already been completed at both Monterey and Salinas locations; however, additional work may have to be completed to complete this project. Proposers must be certified by ChargePoint to install these specific chargers, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and warranty requirements. The entire project, including construction, installation, charger testing and commissioning, must be completed and fully operational by November 1, 2025, to prepare for the BEB fleet arrival. The company selected will enter into a contract with MST effective upon contract execution and receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The contract shall remain valid until the project is deemed satisfactorily completed by MST.
