1. Provide a list of the dates and times the market may be held. The City Council has expressed a desire to see the market operate on Saturday mornings, Fridays or on Tuesday afternoon/evenings. The preferred location is within the historic Mission District area. However, given the Operator's experience and expertise, the City is open to considering alternative proposed locations that would support the success of the Farmers Market. Please note that City-owned property remains the most feasible option at this time. 2. Ensure the Farmers Market hosts the maximum feasible number and variety of certified farmer vendors, with a minimum of twenty-two (22) vendors, including at least the following: a. Five (5) or more certified farmers i. At least two (2) organic produce vendors ii. At least one (1) dairy vendor iii. At least one (1) fresh floral vendor b. Ten (10) artisan food vendors (pre-packaged) i. At least five (5) prepared food vendors ii. At least two (2) baked goods vendors iii. At least one (1) beverage vendor c. Four (4) hot food vendors (on-site cooking) d. Two (2) artisan makers/crafters 3. Provide an Operations Plan, include what services, if any, will be subcontracted, and support and services that will be needed of the City of San Gabriel. 4. Provide the By-Laws and operational guidelines and rules for the Farmers Market. 5. Provide a Marketing Plan outlining strategies for community outreach and promotion of the Farmers Market, including—but not limited to—signage, advertising, and other publicity efforts a. Vendors are expected to promote their own participation using their own networks, complementing the Operator’s marketing efforts to help drive attendance and engagement. 6. Be responsible for adequate and appropriate staffing and management at the site of the Farmers’ Market. 7. Be responsible for obtaining all required permits and licenses pursuant to State, County and local laws. 8. Provide a Certificate of Insurance as specified by the attached Agreement. 9. Operate a weekly market at a minimum from April through August 31 of each year, except on or near major holidays. The City prefers the longest market operation period possible.
