Specifications include, but are not limited to: TASK 1: A selected bidder will perform a periodic surcharge audit of each cannabis business to verify the accuracy of the revenue reported and remitted to the city, providing reports and recommendations as necessary during the review period for each business. The full audit may include analysis and review of Point-of-Sale (POS)and/or Metrc data against other available data sources, including but not limited to City, state, and federal cannabis tax returns, CDTFA data, bank statements, sales receipts, and other financial documents as necessary. This may include revenue collection and financial reviews. TASK 2: A selected bidder will prepare for and facilitate regulatory compliance inspections of each licensed commercial cannabis business to determine compliance with state and local laws and regulations including but not limited to license and permit posting requirements, inventory management, track and trace reporting, security, measures, business records, and other requirements for cannabis businesses. TASK 3: A selected bidder will provide services required for review of applications for a cannabis facility, including initial review of applications for completeness against the City’s requirements, and subject matter expertise relating to scoring applications against the City’s adopted merit criteria and on an as needed basis. Compliance with all applicable state requirements. TASK 4: Lastly, a selected bidder may conduct background checks for cannabis operators at the time of renewal and throughout the year as needed for new and existing owners, employees, and principals. TASK 5: Other additional cannabis related duties that may seem necessary.
