The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from vendors with the resources, experience, and ability to develop and implement a statewide Tribal Investment Initiative program to compliment the State of California’s investment, known as the Regional Investment Initiative within the California Jobs First portfolio. The goal of the Tribal Investment Initiative is to support economic development in tribal communities by funding tribal-led planning and implementation projects. The services to be performed by the successful Proposer shall include, but not be limited to: • Assist in the development, implementation, and facilitation of the California Jobs First Tribal Investment Initiative; • Possess the capacity to administrate an average of 25-35 subawards; • The Intermediary will conduct outreach to California Native American tribes and tribal communities; • Provide technical assistance to prospective applicants, and • Develop a scoring process to recommend projects for funding.
