The California Department of Education (hereinafter referred to as CDE) is soliciting bids to provide residential transportation services to students at the California School for the Blind, located at 500 Walnut Avenue, Fremont, CA 94536; All routes will begin at CSB and end at CSB. Contractor must pick up CSB Staff Aide from CSB prior to student pick up in residential cities or drop off CSB Staff Aide at CSB after students have been dropped off in residential cities. Historically, CSB has had 76- 78 regular school session transportation days. The Contractor MUST notify the CSB Transportation Office twenty four (24) hours in advance if the Contractor is not able to provide services. No coach-type buses or any other vehicle will be allowed in fulfillment of this contract. All drivers provided by the Contractor will have in his/her possession at all times their Commercial Driver License (CDL), California Special Driver Certificate, and medical card and shall upon request by CSB Transportation Office staff produce such documents for inspection.
