Specifications include, but are not limited to: REQUEST TO HIRE A CONSULTANT TO DEVELOP AN INFORMATIONAL BROCHURE RELATED TO MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES IN THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY PER THE ATTACHED STATEMENT OF WORK The primary deliverable will be an Informational Mental Health Brochure that contains a variety of common mental health conditions and early warning signs. It will be used as an outreach tool to engage underserved, inappropriately served and hard to reach African-American and African communities in Los Angeles County. The brochure will provide guidance on how to apply early intervention, and it will identify culturally appropriate traditional and non-traditional mental health resources. Since the AAA communities are ethnically diverse, the targeted language groups of this project are Somali, Yoruba, Swahili, Amharic, and Igbo. The brochure will be produced in English and equipped for translation into each of the African languages named. (The Department will select a separate vendor to translate the document into the other languages.)
