Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.3 Archiving equipment and supplies will be furnished by LA County Library. 3.4 Survey and assess physical and born-digital collection distributed across three (3) field offices, one (1) main office, and one (1) storage location. 3.5 Develop a collection assessment report and processing plan that includes: a. Confirmation of short-term and long-term goals for the collection b. An inventory, including volume(s), distribution(s), and condition(s) of components, of the collection c. Recommendations for transfer of digital and physical assets to the Work Location d. A system of organization of the collection to assert greater intellectual control over the collection e. Requirements and recommendations for processing the collection’s physical assets, including metadata elements that should be captured when processing materials f. Technical requirements and recommendations for processing the collection’s born-digital assets g. Recommendations for short-term and long-term preservation of physical and digital assets.
