Specifications include, but are not limited to: The California Department of Technology is researching solutions that will provide real-time access control and tracking to computer room cabinets located in a data center environment. The solution could be comprised of an electronic key management system, electronic cabinet locks, or any other suggestions that will meet the State's requirements. The solution will need to include a unique locking mechanism for each cabinet. The solution will include all hardware, software, installation, training, maintenance and warranty. The system must have a self-service function, allowing individuals access to only the computer room cabinets they are authorized to access. The requirements listed below may or may not be applicable to the proposed solution. For example, some of these requirements may apply to electronic key management systems, while others may apply to electronic cabinet locks, or any other suggestions that are presented.
