Specifications include, but are not limited to: : Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, services, permits, insurance (specifically covering work activities involving Asbestos-Containing Material (ACM), Asbestos-Containing Construction Material (ACCM) and Asbestos-Containing Waste Material (ACWM), and equipment which is specified, shown, or reasonably implied for Asbestos Abatement activities specified in all related reports, documents and divisions within contract documents. The scope of this work under this contract shall apply as follows: 1. The encapsulation of intact asbestos-containing acoustical plaster ceilings 2. Cleaning of skylight sunscreens which may have deposited ACM ceiling debris. The skylight screens must be removed to access areas of the ceiling to be painted. Reinstall screens to light wells after detail cleaning 3. The ceiling acoustical material contains asbestos. Use proper procedures to clean up any asbestos containing material which might be disturbed. Contractor to be licensed California asbestos abatement contractor 4. The work is to be completed in each wing every other weekend, Friday through Sunday, on the Citys regularly scheduled Friday closures. Additionally, the work may also be completed over the Thanksgiving holiday (November 16-25, 2012) and the Christmas holiday (December 22-30, 2012). The schedule is to be submitted by the contractor and approved by City at least one week prior to start of work. The work shall be monitored by and air clearance shall be performed by the Citys Environmental Consultant the same weekend. The contractor shall provide additional cleaning as needed until asbestos air clearance is received. The Contractor shall remove all wall, floor and other protective coverings and other work-related materials and equipment once clearance is achieved. It is required that all materials be removed prior to the Citys work shift on Monday morning. All office areas are to be left clean and undisturbed for occupancy during normal operating hours, i.e., 7am-6pm Monday-Friday.
