The Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) West Valley Area office the services described herein: furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide semi-annual vehicle hoist maintenance in accordance with the terms set forth in this Agreement. A. License Requirement: C-61/D-21 California State Contracting License Board License, Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Lift Inspector Certificate or employee with ALI Certified Inspector Certificate. B. Contractor shall possess a valid local City or County business license throughout the term of Agreement. C. The Contractor shall provide a Certificate of Insurance in accordance with the Insurance Requirements found in this Agreement (Exhibit E). 5. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) needs vehicle hoist maintenance for one (1) underground hoist at the CHP's West Valley Area office. Contractor shall schedule the date and time the service is to be performed with the CHP On-Site Contact one (1) week prior to service. The Contractor shall provide semi-annual maintenance services as follows: A. Ensure all preventive maintenance inspections comply with the manufacturer's recommendations. B. Remove all debris and dispose of offsite. C. Notify the CHP on-site contact of any deficiencies in a timely manner. D. Allquotations for additional services not covered under this Agreement are to be provided to the state at no cost by Contractor. E. All maintenance shall be provided every six (6) months. 6. FIRST SEMI-ANNUAL MAINTENANCE A. Inspect lifting chains and components for deformation, wear, or corrosion. B. Inspect all hydraulic components for leaks, deformation, wear or corrosion. C. Tighten all fasteners and hydraulic fittings as required. D. Ensure all O-rings, boss fittings, and jam nuts are tightened to 15-foot pounds. E. Remove, reseal, and reinstall any pipe fittings that are leaking. Use UNYTE Thread Sealant or equivalent on fitting threads. F. Inspect anchor conditions for any possible corrosion and inspect the concrete floor for any signs of fatigue or fractures. G. Wipe cylinders, wiper seals, and the base of each post to remove any weeping oil anp dust. H. Verify fluid level and fill if needed with manufacturer's recommended fluid. 1. Lubricate the arm restraint assemblies to insure free and smooth operation. J. Cycle unit to full height and bleed approximately thirty (30) seconds.
