A. Contractor shall provide a heavy-duty mechanical broom street sweeper, e.g., Elgin Eagle or equivalent, to provide sweeping service to the entire parking lot area and roadway lanes. Contractor to provide a mobile or heavy-duty dustless power vacuum attachment capable of removing all debris and leaves from the paved parking area, fence line, etc. Hand blowing will be required in areas the sweeper will not reach. B. Contractor shall make arrangements with the office two (2) weeks in advance. All work shall be performed during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless permission is granted in writing by the On-Site Contact. Contractor must checkin/out with the On-Site Contact upon each service call to provide verification the service has been provided. Failure to check in and out could result in invoices not being processed. C. Contractor to ensure that all debris is removed from the premises including the refuse and debris that may accumulate around the building, in the parking lot, and roadway lanes. This shall include removal of debris and leaves in corners, behind wheel stops, along all fence lines, and recessed areas which are accessible by the mobile unit. D. All service shall be performed by trained, competent workers. E. Any work found unsatisfactory shall be redone before the next scheduled service at no additional cost to the State. In the event of equipment failure, Contractor must respond with back-up personnel and power sweeper with two (2) working days at no additional charge to the CHP. Contractor must respond to all recalls with twenty-four (24) hours after notification from the CHP On-site Contact or the CHP Facilities Coordinator. After two (2) recalls for unsatisfactory work, the State reserves the right to terminate the contract.
