A. Concrete foundation is required for the placement of one (1) Conex box, 20 feet in length x 9 feet wide, with a gross weight of 67,000 pounds. Foundation shall be 21 feet in length x 10 feet in width. 1) Mark asphalt one foot larger than foundation at location chosen by CHP Facilities Coordinator. 2) Saw cut asphalt. Remove aggregate base and excavate an additional eight (8) inches of dirt and compact. 3) Provide a minimum of four (4) inches compacted aggregate base or four inches (4) compacted stone, gravel or equal. Dispose of asphalt and dirt properly. 4) Install forms per industry standards. Concrete pad to be level, regardless of parking lot slope. Install enforcement rebar, or equal to prevent cracking due to weight, settling, moisture, and corrosion. Pour eight (8) inches of concrete. 5) Application of concrete shall be in compliance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions to properly cure within a suitable temperature range. 6) Broom finish new concrete area. Patch asphalt as needed between concrete and existing asphalt. 7) Keep concrete moist while concrete is curing following the manufacturer’s packaging recommendations. B. Site Preparation and Clean up 1) The Contractor shall be responsible for securing the back parking lot with caution tape or cones during the project. 2) The Contractor shall be responsible for proper disposal of any debris and ensure that area is always clean and in a safe condition. 3) The Contractor shall maintain a safe working environment to prevent injuries to CHP personnel or damage to CHP property. 4) The Contractor, at no expense to the State of California, will repair any damage caused by the Contractor or any of his/her workers. C. Warranty Contractor shall warranty work for a period of one (1) year upon 100% completion and final inspection of the project
