QTY: 800 UNITS; LAC+USC Medical Center, one of the largest public hospitals in the country is a 600-bed, Level One Trauma Center and an academic teaching hospital run by Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS). Through its affiliation with USC Keck School of Medicine, it is one of the premier academic teaching hospitals in the nation. Annually, the Medical Center sees over 34,000 Inpatient Admissions, 128,000+ Emergency visits, 12,600+ Surgical Cases and over 625,000 Ambulatory Care visits. Hundreds of visitors and patients visit LAC+USC Medical Center every day. The renewal of DirecTV cable services will allow the Medical Center to continue to provide visitors and patients with news and entertainment during their visit, creating a distraction and reducing anxiety, fear and boredom. The vendor will perform a RF infrastructure overhaul on the existing main distribution frame that will include assessing and upgrading amplifiers and fitting taps in all serviceable buildings and floors. All equipment must have the ability to broadcast digital signal through standard RC6 coaxial cable and compatibility with daisy-chain cabling configuration. With compatible equipment, LAC+USC infrastructure does NOT require the installation of a receiver in every room. The vendor must provide and install the headend video management system
