Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Enter into and provide all required documentation specified in the sample agreement and provide said documentation within two weeks of the approval of the agreement by the City Council. 2. Business License: Obtain a City of Turlock Business license prior to execution of the contract. Business Licenses are obtained through the Finance Division at Turlock City Hall, 156 S. Broadway, Suite 114. Additional information can be found on the City’s website at: http://ci.turlock.ca.us/doingbusinessinturlock/businesslicenses/newbusinesslicense.asp. 3. Web Based Construction Document Software: Use of the City’s Virtual Project Management (VPM) software to facilitate document sharing, review, and approval between the City, CM, and construction contractor. The VPM subscription cost shall be paid directly by the City. Basic training on the use of VPM is available for the CM and contractor by City personnel. 4. Project Meetings: Lead and document a pre-construction meeting, in coordination with O’Dell Engineering. Lead and document regularly scheduled construction progress meetings (assume recurrence is once every two weeks). 5. Construction time management: Construction Manager shall create Weekly Statements of Contract Time on a weekly basis and post these to VPM as well as include them in the regular progress meeting agenda packets. The statements shall include the following information: Date, Day, weather conditions, tally of whether the day is 1) a counted working day as to contract time, 2) unworkable day caused by weather, or 3) day not worked for any reason other than weather, subtotal of days this week and previous to the weekly report for 1) 2) and 3) above, change orders that extend the number of contract days, start date for counting contract time, the completion due date, working days counted to date, working days remaining to completion due date. 6. Full-Time Inspection: Provide full-time field inspection of the work in progress on the site for conformance with the Project plans and specifications with skilled and professional personnel. This task includes monitoring all construction work and documenting the work. Daily written reports shall be maintained. Change order work shall be tracked and recorded on a Force Account basis, except when the cost of change order work has been approved as a lump sum amount prior to any change order work performed. This task includes daily inspection of temporary traffic control devices placed by the contractor for conformance with the approved temporary traffic control plan. 7. Field office: A field office is not included in the construction contract specifications. The City does not require the CM firm to utilize a field office. If the CM firm believes a field office is necessary for this project, it shall include all of its costs in its proposal for review by the City. Such costs must include all costs, including but not limited to rental fees, installation, permitting, temporary power, internet, sanitation, office furniture and equipment, and so forth. 8. Materials Testing and Special Inspection: Contact and directly coordinate with the materials and special inspections firm hired by the City (BSK and Associates) to schedule sampling and testing. 9. Construction Staking: Coordinate contractor’s requests for construction staking with the firm hired by the City to perform these services (O’Dell Engineering). 10. Coordination with Design Engineer: Assist the City and contractor with general coordination of submittals, RFIs, design clarifications, and Design Engineers’ responses.
