Year 1 | Item 1 - Mobilization and Demobilization - Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and dredge as may be necessary to mobilize and demobilize construction operations for the project. Mobilization and start-up will not be deemed complete until 1,000 m3 (1,308 CY) of sand has been dredged, transported, and placed on the receiver beach as a demonstration of operational readiness. The material volume dredged during mobilization is to be included in Item No. 2 and will be paid under Item No. 2). Only one mobilization per dredge cycle is to be paid and funds will be dispersed following completion of the milestones outlined above. Year 1 | Item 2 - Dredging and Placement of Sand: Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals and do all work as may be necessary to dredge and remove sand from the Full Tidal Basin; including dredging, transporting, beach placement, measuring, filling, and grading, for a unit price per cubic meter of material dredged and placed on the beach. Note dredging and placement of sand shall require adequate discharge area fencing, equipment, and staffing to be positioned at the beach placement area during all periods of active work in order to ensure the protection of the public and environment during the completion of work. Stated volume may vary downward by up to 20% or upward by 20% without a change in unit pricing. Volume changes shall be at the sole discretion of the State. Any volume changes beyond the specified unilateral variances above require the mutual concurrence of the State and Contractor. Volume dredged remains the basis for payment and the resulting extended cost paid to the Contractor shall decrease or increase accordingly based on the authorized volume dredged.
