a. Turn on the boilers and check all safeties and operating thermostats/pressure switches, and adjust for proper setting. b. Check high-temperature control for safe operation. c. Check the water flow switch for safe operation. d. Check the high-and low-level controls. e. Check combustion air blower for proper operation, lubricate if required. f. Test safety relief valves on the boilers and storage tanks. g. Clean air filters. h. Adjust firing rate (air and gas settings) per factory recommended settings. i. Run combustion test. j. Inspect all piping in the boiler system for any leaks. k. Check flame sensors to ensure flame signal is greater than 1 microamp. l. Check flame igniters for resistance. m. Inspect wiring for deterioration and any loose contacts. n. Inspect refractory and cabinet for any cracks. 2. Provide report of all system maintenance and tests. B. ANNUAL SERVICES 1. Everything that was listed under Section 4.A,1 Quarterly Services above. 2. Preventative maintenance, performance assurance, testing, cleaning, and inspection as follows: a. Isolate water side and drain the boilers. Hydrostatically test boiler to design pressure prior to draining to ensure tube and pressure vessel integrity. b. Open water side inspection plugs and check for scale. c. Clean and punch tubes with brushes to remove all loose debris and scale. Flush with spray nozzle water hose. d. Inspect for electrolysis wear as components are disassembled. e. Inspect and clean wye-strainer baskets, underside of fireside boiler tubes, atmospheric burner heads and orifices, and stack at draft regulator entrance and at stack termination. f. Perform leakage test on gas valves and line fittings. g. Visually inspect burner flame, venting system for proper function.
