A. Boat #1 (#26R010 – Designcon) – Used for general engineering inspections, maintenance and calibration of field division water operations instrumentation, maintenance and inspections of buoy lines and log booms, and clearing the lake of debris for public safety. B. Boat #2 (#26R136 – Almar) - Used primarily for water quality and water temperature sampling and monitoring on Lake Oroville, which includes cyanobacteria monitoring on a weekly or bi-weekly basis during the spring/summer recreation season. In addition, from January through July it is used a minimum of four times per month for bald eagle nesting surveys. This boat is also used for site visits to various locations around the lake. Examples of this include regulatory staff visits (e.g., US Fish and Wildlife Service, CA Department of Fish and Wildlife) to recreation site condition checks. This boat is available to other DWR groups for their use as needed.
