Specifications include, but are not limited to: replacement, installation and/or upgrade of bicycle lockers to a networked enabled, electronic, time of use locker system (or comparable bike parking solution); ongoing operations and maintenance of the lockers, including back-end client dashboard to monitor the system, web-based and/or app-based public interface to view real-time locker availability; full service customer support, mobile payment, cash payment and access controls. The Proposer will: • Replace VTA’s existing enterprise lockers with network enabled, electronic, time of use lockers or comparable bike parking system • Improve security for bicyclists who use the lockers. • Offer multiple options for payment for lockers including cash, credit card, mobile payment; this provides more equitable access for customers • Increase locker utilization and improve VTA ridership. • Reduce waiting lists for locker rentals and improve overall rental rates. • Reduce VTA’s maintenance costs while providing well-maintained bike parking for customers. • Reduce VTA’s customer support costs while providing timely, responsive service to customers. • Improve sustainable transportation and access to VTA’s station. • Provide locker maintenance and operations services and an online customer facing portal.
