Prep surface: 14.3.1.1 Contractor shall provide all equipment, material and labor as required. 14.3.1.2 Contractor shall coordinate with maintenance personal and tenant to schedule work for demo and installation of tub. Once a schedule is worked out the contractor shall submit the schedule in writing to contracting officer. 14.3.1.3 Contractor shall perform preparation and cleaning procedures in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions for the particular substrate condition. 14.3.1.4 Demolition removal of a Righthand bathtub including tub fittings, door stop, 1/8 vct tile , and baseboard. 14.3.1.5 Remove toilet in order to install new 1/8 vct tile. 14.3.1.6 Dispose of all debris resulting from work on a daily basis. 14.3.2 Installation: Bathtub 14.3.2.1 Replace or reinforce wall supports with extra studs as necessary to make walls sturdier for bathtub. (Support is to prevent flimsy shower back wall) 14.3.2.2 Install extra floor studs to support and handle double the tub load capacity. 14.3.2.3 Install new bed support under the tub. (Using thin set mortar) 14.3.2.4 Install a new 3-piece right-handed bathtub equivalent to existing tub or better. (Tubs are purchase generally from Ferguson Enterprise on Ross) 14.3.2.5 Must install new handicap grab bar ADA approved on all tub installation. 14.3.2.6 Install new shower valve and trim. (Shower valve, trim, and waste & overflow will be provided by the IVHA) 14.3.2.7 Contractor must replace drywall around bathtub edges for proper installation according to manufacturer’s installation instructions. 14.3.2.8 Contractor shall retexture wall in preparation to receiving paint. 14.3.2.9 Paint wall to match existing. (Semi-Gloss Navajo White) 14.3.2.10 Install new commercial grade VCT tile in bathroom. (Sandrift 1/8”, 12” x 12”, #51858) Note: New 1/8 vct tile must be installed under the toilet. Toilet must set flush and installed properly to avoid any damages down the road. 14.3.2.11 Install new 5” base board which must be painted Semi-Gloss Navajo White.
