The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), Fraud and Cyber Crimes Bureau (FCCB), Southern California High Tech Taskforce (SCHTTF) serves as a technical support and training contact for LASD and other law enforcement agencies throughout Southern California. The SCHTTF is seeking training in tactics and laws pertaining to the use of UAV’s by law enforcement. The training and equipment will allow detectives from the SCHTTF to assist Homicide Bureau and other detective units. The UAV’s will be able to provide real-time information to investigators serving search warrants. The UAV’s will also be used to assist Homicide Bureau with crime scene photography and mapping. The custom UAV training course consists of 2 days with up to 8 students on-site and hands on. With an additional 6 hours virtual expert flight instruction and operational safety of DJI Matrice 30T Law Enforcement and Public Safety Packages.
