The San Diego County Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Detail (SED) requires the services of a Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Training Contractor to provide Basic Close Quarters Clearance (CQC) training. SED supports all divisions of the Sheriff's Department, and allied agencies as requested. Critical incidents occur indoors, or in streets and alleys where maneuverability and visibility are limited and standard methods, equipment, and tactics are not suitable. Training on current best practices and an evaluation of standard operating procedures are essential for successful outcomes. Evaluate SED's current tactics and improve upon them. 1.2. Equip SED with information, skills, and tools for CQC. 1.3. Training on new and emerging equipment, like suppressors, lasers, night vision, thermal imaging. 1.4. Provide evaluation/education/training on CQC in the following modalities: 1.4.1. Urban 1.4.2. Rural 1.4.3. Dynamic 1.4.4. Deliberate 1.4.5. Hostage rescue 1.4.6. Night/low-light 1.4.7. Day 1.5.
