The City of Fontana Public Works Department is inviting proposers to submit proposals for Auto Body Repair Services. The Department manages a mixed fleet comprised of 546 vehicles and pieces of equipment. Included in this total are heavy, medium and light duty vehicles including an array of specialty service body units, Class C Cut-a-way buses and trailers (flatbed and box type). These vehicles are used by all city departments including Police, Public Works, Community Services, Community Development, Engineering, Building and Safety, Information Technology, Human Resources, City Clerk, Management Services, Redevelopment and Administration. The City of Fontana’s vehicle maintenance facility is located at the Corporate Yard, 16489 Orange Way, Fontana, California, 92335. The City of Fontana is seeking a vendor to provide the most reliable, responsive level of service, with the highest standards of performance while providing the best value to the City. Proposers must be a full-service facility with the capability to perform or provide all services necessary, in a timely manner. These services include but are not limited to frame straightening, sheet metal work, installation of City provided graphics and logos, removal and reinstallation of safety equipment, and paint work.
