Provider, through the services of its designated athletic trainer, shall perform the following duties for the District: a. Coordinate the establishment and maintenance of an athletic training facility at each school within the District. b. Advise each school on the necessary supplies and training equipment required for the effective operation of the athletic training program. c. Assist faculty and athletic coaching staff in the development and implementation of a student athletic training program. d. Provide recommendations on conditioning and flexibility training to each school’s coaching staff, subject to the advice and approval of a team physician. e. Assist team physicians in designing and implementing a medical records system for athletic injuries and facilitate the completion of District injury report forms in compliance with applicable regulations. f. Monitor athletic injuries and, in consultation with a team physician, develop and implement injury prevention programs. g. Coordinate and conduct injury follow-up evaluations in collaboration with team physicians. h. Perform strapping, wrapping, taping, and other protective measures to support preexisting injuries or weaknesses, ensuring the athlete’s safe and expedited return to competition. i. Evaluate injuries sustained exclusively by student-athletes.
