Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Athletics requires the service of a professional security company with no less than five (5) years of actual experience in heavy security, crowd control, ticket taker, and usher services that can provide unarmed event security services for athletics events such as Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Water Polo, Track, and Tennis. There are approximately 100 athletic and non-athletic events per year. For multiple events, required staff can exceed 50 employees. Personnel are expected to conduct gate checks by consent of the patron of their belongings to prevent any prohibited items (as defined by the University) from entering the premises. Personnel also assist with field perimeter security, student section observation and security, crowd control, ticket taking, ushering, alcohol management, health entry screenings, and other related duties as may be assigned.
