Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Irwindale is seeking to select a contractor to Provide Armored Car and Courier services for pick-up of currency and coins for the Finance Department. The contract will include all deposit pickups from City Hall with delivery services to the banking institution. Exceptions to service dates for national holiday observations and other City of Irwindale closed periods are as follows: • New Year’s Day • Martin Luther King Jr. • President’ • Cesar Chavez Day • Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Veteran’s Day • Thanksgiving Day • Day After Thanksgiving • Christmas Day; The City reserves the right to cancel a scheduled pickup, without being charged, upon giving the selected contractor a 24-hour notice of cancellation. In addition, the contractor will provide flexibility in the pickup schedule should a change in City operations or staffing occur and will not charge the City for these changes unless frequency of pickups is adjusted. The City of Irwindale Finance Department will require that the contractor pick up coins, currencies, and checks deposits from the Finance Department window inside City Hall and deliver the deposits to the Wells Fargo Bank vault. The contractor’s employees must load everything into the armored vehicle without City staff assistance and return change orders and bank returns to the Finance Department window inside City Hall. If multiple trips are required to pick up deposits to deliver to Wells Fargo Bank the contractor will do so at no extra cost. The contractor will allow a grace period up to 30 minutes for staff to return from the field to allow the contractor to gain access to pick up the deposits. The contractor must provide advanced notice of holiday and off schedule pick-ups or if a pickup will not occur.
