This is an In-Use project. The Consultant will make provisions in the documents to allow for existing facilities to remain in use to the public during construction including, without limitation, phasing plans. The Consultant must provide professional architectural and consulting services for the City’s proposed renovation and upgrade to the Simi Valley Public Library. The Consultant is responsible for examining the existing building site and appurtenances to establish existing conditions. Inasmuch as the City had previously prepared concepts for revisions to the existing building, City is especially relying on Consultant’s experience in designing the project. It is also the intent of the Contract to provide, without limitation, the necessary design, drawings, calculations, specifications, and documents necessary to obtain approvals of all agencies having jurisdiction over the project and for the bidding and construction of the improvements and facilities.
