FUNCTIONS and CONTROLS Inspect all of the joystick and or toggle controls and ensure they return to “off” or neutral position when released. Inspect the controls to ensure that they lock in place properly. Inspect the condition of control enclosures and protective boots and/or guards. Inspect the emergency stop switches at the ground and platform control stations to ensure that the switches are operating properly Inspect the lift, drive, and speed cut-outs to ensure proper operation. Inspect the manual descent and/or auxiliary power system to ensure proper operation. Inspect the function enabled system to ensure proper operation. (Disables functions within 3 seconds). (If equipped) Inspect brakes to ensure proper operation. PLATFORM ASSEMBLY Ensure the platform is correctly installed and is secure. Inspect the midrail chain or gate installed and ensure it latches properly. Inspect the extend deck to ensure it is properly installed and functions properly. The extended deck shall be able to lock at full extension and retraction. Inspect the platform guardrails and to ensure they floor in place, secure, and are and undamaged. Inspect the platform roll pins to ensure they are installed properly. Inspect the fold-down rails (if equipped) to ensure they are installed properly and are fully functional. SCISSOR ARMS Inspect scissor arms to ensure they are free of damage, cracks, and distortion. Inspect the safety device to ensure they are installed properly and are and operational. Inspect all nuts, bolts, shafts, shields, bearings, and locking devices to ensure proper installation and functionality Inspect cylinder pins, bearings, and any attached hardware to ensure the items are secure, undamaged, do not contain excessive wear. Inspect arm pins, bearings, and any attached hardware to ensure the items are secure, undamaged, do not contain excessive wear. Inspect arm pads and sliding blocks ensure the items are secure, and undamaged, do not contain excessive wear. CHASSIS Inspect wheel rim nuts to ensure they are torqued properly. Inspect p tires to ensure they are properly installed. Tires shall be free of gouges and excessive wear, cords should not be showing and if the tires are pneumatic, they should be properly inflated. Tire bead should be properly seated around rim. Inspect oscillating axle and lockout cylinders to ensure they operate properly. Inspect the steer, drive, and axle components to ensure they are secure and undamaged. Inspect the leveling jacks or stabilizers to ensure they operate properly. Inspect the hydraulic tray, battery, and/or engine compartment covers to ensure they open and latch properly. Inspect the pothole protection system to ensure it deploys and retracts properly. Inspect the static strap to ensure it is in place. POWER SYSTEM Inspect the battery fluid level to ensure it is per MFG specification. Inspect the motors to ensure they are free of damage. Inspect the battery charger through diagnostics to ensure it functions properly. Inspect all electrical connections to ensure they are tight, free of frays, and corrosion. Inspect the battery to ensure it is properly installed.
