The Alyce Norman Park Master Plan Project aims to reimagine the 17-acre park at 725 Todhunter Avenue, transforming it into a refreshed, community-centered space with enhanced amenities, athletic facilities, and modernized infrastructure. The selected firm will be responsible for delivering three distinct design layouts that optimize park usage and support long-term community engagement. The Scope of Work for this project includes the following: a. Complete Site Survey and Initial Assessment: • Conduct a comprehensive site survey to collect detailed information on existing conditions and park infrastructure. • Define the project scope through up to four meetings with City staff and stakeholders to refine and confirm design objectives and priorities. b. Redesign of Athletic Facilities: • Renovate and redesign the three existing Little League baseball diamonds. • Renovate and redesign the four youth softball fields to enhance safety, functionality, and aesthetics. • Maximize the use of open space to accommodate potential additional fields. c. Recreational Area Upgrades: • Enhance the recreational area, including the recently upgraded play structure with integrated shade. • Improve picnic areas with updated seating, shelters, and amenities, creating welcoming gathering spots for park visitors.
