The District is seeking bids from qualified firms or companies, hereinafter referred to as “Bidder”, that can furnish, operate, and maintain all equipment necessary for the transportation of pupils for home-to-school services. These services, referred to as alternate transportation services, that utilize smaller, more flexible transportation options tailored to students’ needs. The transportation services are for K-8 students enrolled in the special education program who reside within the geographical boundaries of the Hawthorne School District. The Bidder shall provide management and logistical support to coordinate these transportation services and may utilize a combination of passenger automobiles, SUVs, minivans, and/or special needs vans equipped with wheelchair lift ramps to accommodate students with disabilities or mobility challenges.
