The City of Alhambra is soliciting proposals from qualified providers (CONSULTANT) with demonstrated experience for the Alhambra Jail Services contract. All professional services are to be provided by personnel experienced in their respective fields in a manner consistent with the standards of care, diligence, and skill ordinarily exercised by professional consultants in similar field and circumstances. Through this RFP process, the City desires to enhance service efficiency and minimize costs and risk, while at the same time providing the Consultant with the incentive to successfully perform based upon pricing, and the operational parameters set forth herein. The Alhambra Police Department's Type I Jail Facility is located at the Alhambra Police Department, 211 S. First Street, Alhambra, CA 91801. The facility has a capacity of 44 beds; six cells have the capacity to house four inmates each and there are two separate dormitory type pods that have the capacity to house twenty inmates in twelve separate cells. There are four temporary holding cells with capacity to hold twenty-four inmates, two sobering cells and one safety cell. The facility is staffed twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, and 365 days of the year. The term of this contract would be for a Five-Year period from July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2030, with an option for up to three (3) additional one-year extensions at the City’s discretion.
