Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Oakland International Airport (OAK), operated by the Port of Oakland (Port), is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide routine and on-call security guard services at or around Oakland Airport facilities. Airport Contract Security Services are mandated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and are specified under the TSA-approved Airport Security Program (ASP) for the Oakland International Airport (OAK). Currently OAK deploys one security guard at each of the two fixed posts, plus relief and supervision. It is estimated that staffing each post, relief and supervision for a one-year period will require approximately 20,075 guard hours. OAK also requires "on-call" services which will be stationed at various locations at or around the Airport to support construction specials or special events. On-call assignments are not guaranteed, but utilized on an as-need basis. Services may include, but are not limited to: security vendor screening, employee screening, routine passenger assistance, access control to restricted areas, and security services in response to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Directives or emergencies. Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), OAK is seeking to establish a five (5) year contract, plus three possible one-year extensions for Airport Contract Security Guard Services.
