Specifications include, but are not limited to: At times, SMUD has requirements for additional security resources in the Upper American River Project (UARP) to staff security posts and provide mobile foot and vehicle security patrols of SMUD assets at the UARP located throughout the El Dorado National Forest and El Dorado County. Security services may include but are not limited to: providing armed security officers with appropriate contract company assigned vehicle to provide security patrols to SMUD’s UARP facilities, respond to intrusion alarms at the direction of SMUD’s Security Operations Center, provide a static security posting at designated facilities when requested, liaison and coordinate with other law enforcement agencies in El Dorado County concerning the protection of SMUD assets. Additional security services may also include other security protective measures directed toward UARP facilities, and on rare occasions for other SMUD critical infrastructure/key resources located in Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, and Solano Counties. SMUD will provide a minimum of two (2) hours notification for each temporary security force augmentation requirement. A. Security Officers: The following requirements will apply when the contractor is providing qualified security officers to augment the existing proprietary SMUD Security Operations force: 1. Possess a current California Department of Consumer Affairs BSIS Guard Registration Card. 2. Successfully completed all required background check requirements. 3. Report for duty in complete uniform (clean and neatly tailored) with appropriate footwear (shorts are not acceptable attire but may be authorized if requested for certain circumstances or situations).
