Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City provides a full range of municipal services, including police and fire protection, sanitation services, construction and maintenance of streets and infrastructure, housing programs, parks, libraries, recreational activities, and cultural facilities. The City also operates a parking program, a municipal water system, a wastewatertreatment facility, an international airport, and a Community Choice Aggregation program supplying electricity toSan José residents. The City also provides oversight of convention and cultural facilities and has financial accountability for the City of San José Financing Authority and the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San José (SARA). The Fiscal Year 2023-24 Proposed Operating Budget for all City funds(Operating, Special, and Capital) was $5.2 billion, of which the General Fund accounted for $1.92 billion
