Project Summary. The modernization of Alisal Elementary School is a transformational Project of the entire campus, which includes new construction, renovation of remaining buildings, and various site improvements. ● All students will remain on site during the Project. ● The selected Firm will be expected to include interim housing as part of its scope of Work. ● The District has included the current space use as part of the Project Criteria documents referenced below. The District is seeking innovative value engineering, thoughtful cost saving measures, and an efficient design from a Firm that can work to bring a 21st Century school to our valuable community. Based on the Project Budget details below, and the anticipated increase in enrollment due to developments in the surrounding area, the District intends to work with the successful Firm to determine what scopes of work can and should be performed with the current funding, and what scopes of work should be planned and coordinated, but not constructed until the District receives the anticipated funding. Scope of Work. The selected Firm shall design a comprehensive plan (final plans and specifications), construct, install, program, field test, train, and commission the Project, consistent with the design specifications and criteria set forth herein. The Work shall be performed in two (2) phases: ● Design Phase, including these subphases: o Early Design (including survey of the Site(s)) o Schematic Design (Preliminary Plan Phase) o Design Development o 50% Construction Documents (Working Drawing Phase) o 100% Construction Documents (Working Drawing Phase) ● Construction Phase, including two (2) subphases: o Construction o Testing, Commissioning, Completion
