This Request for Proposals (hereinafter “RFP” or “Solicitation”) is being issued by the City and County of San Francisco’s Department of Emergency Management (hereinafter, “DEM” or “City”) through the Bay Area Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI). DEM is seeking qualified suppliers (“Proposers”) to provide proposals (“Proposal”) to select qualified consultants to design and implement the Bay Area’s FY24 National Priority Project – Cybersecurity Planning, Training, and Exercise with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This project involves coordinated cybersecurity planning; delivering AI-focused training; and conducting an exercise to strengthen regional capabilities to prevent, mitigate, respond to, and recover from cyberattacks. This initiative aims to address the growing threat of cyber-attacks—such as ransomware, supply chain compromises, and attacks on critical infrastructure—while leveraging AI responsibly to enhance detection, prevention, coordination, and resilience across the region.
